Does you virtual assistant have the experience you need?
We have talked about outsourcing certain functions of your business so long as it will not affect the experience your customer has with your business. A virtual assistant doing such items as secretarial work is an excellent example of something a small business can outsource.
However, how do you know you are getting the right person? Basically you should interview them the same way you would someone applying for a job with you. Ask them about how they would do the work for them and most important is to get referrals and to follow up on the referrals.
The Nitty Gritty Virtual Assistant has an entry about some of the problems with higher an experienced person plus she has a ten step guide for finding the right person.
