Congress has passed the economic package which means many people will be getting checks in the mail by this summer.

As a small business owner, you should be asking yourself two things: What am I going to do with my check and how am I going to get people to spend their checks with me.
You may be getting a check in the mail and you should be planning now what you will spend the funds on. If you have debt I highly recommend you pay of any debt you can. Second, if you do not have any major debt look to put the money into your business.
Have you been putting off a purchase because of the lack of capital resources? Maybe now is the time to make that purchase. You could purchase some furniture, equipment, or anything in that nature that will benefit the business.
Another area you could think of spending it would be to add a new product line, or do some special type of promotion to see how it works. Make this money work for you.
Next you need to figure out how to get people in your door that will have these checks (which is a large market). When the checks start showing up in mail boxes you may want to look at running a special promotion. If you sell big ticket items you could run a promotion about using their checks to purchase something from your store.
This is an excellent time to team up with some of your marketing partners to have a big promotional blitz to get people in the door.
