Do you belong to a networking group and did you get a return on investment this past year?

ROI on Networking

The Start Up Spark blog has an entry talking about your networking and what kind of return did you get on your time investment. Did you get enough customers from attending to justify the cost of time?

If not there are some suggestions to get more out of your networking.

First of all be committed. If you only made one meeting or less a month were you dedicated to your group or only showed up when you felt like it. To truly make your networking time successful, you must commit the time and your mind to being at your networking meetings and putting your best foot forward.

Here is a simple one that too many fail at: be on time. Busy business people don't like those who are late all the time and show that they are too self-absorbed to show up at the proper time. After all, when you go to networking meetings you hope to get referrals from the other participants, but do you think they are going to risk their reputation on someone who cannot show up on time?

In addition they talk about sharing information freely, making new connections, and giving to get.

Networking is an important part of building your business. Be sure that you are putting your best foot forward in order to nurture your business.
