I agree that in business we need to achieve both satisfaction and loyalty to be successful.
Without a strong passion and drive it is incredibly easy to become near-sighted. Symptoms include a lack of imagination, foresight, and insight. It quickly turns into a cancer that consumes creativity, innovation, and momentum.
One way to inoculate your management from becoming myopic is to create your own 'Secret Sauce recipe for every aspect of your business." Then you can concentrate on training, testing, and implementation.
