Meeting Place

Do you work from home? If you do, what happens when you need to meet a client? Do you have a place that a your are willing to let a client see or are you embarrassed about your office or you have other issues that make your home office not the best place to meet a client?
More are working from home, including myself so that brings up the question of where to meet a client. I always meet my clients at their place of work since my consulting usually involves their business directly but what would happen if I need to meet a client at my home office? I would be looking for an alternative pretty quickly. Its not that it is dirty or anything, it's just that my mother passed away last may and all her stuff is currently in our two bedroom apartment trying to get dispersed to family but the Home Biz Notes blog has some ideas on where to hold a meeting outside our home office.
Before deciding on a place I would make a personal inspection and make sure the place is clean and that you can find a place to do the necessary work such as peaceful and quite. Also, I would be careful to make sure the place is acceptable to the client. While one place may be acceptable to you, the client may be a turn of to the client so be sure you have an understanding of your client's desires before making any arrangements.
In most cities you should have no trouble finding a place.
