Do you have trouble figuring out the differences between marketing and sales?
Basically marketing is designed to create customers or prospects. In other words it is designed to get people in the door.
On the other hand sales are what you do once you have them in the door. In other words it is designed to get that prospect and turn them into a paying customer.
While they may have the same goals in mind, sometimes marketing and sales people have a hard time relating to each other. Now if you are the marketing manager, sales person, and management of the company then you have a little easier time figuring out the differences and working with them.
The Marketing Interaction blog has a little more information on this topic.
