Lessons from Abraham Lincoln

The Positivity Blog which I have referenced before with their excellent look at what can be learned from famous people
in history talks about Abraham Lincoln. As the other people profiled in the blog, there is some great things to be learned from Mr. Lincoln. The first lesson from Lincoln is to see the positive in people. Too often we are eager to find what is wrong with people and find how we are better than they are. But we should be looking for the positive because what you look for is what you find.
Next is to be honest. Be honest with your dealings with everyone else. You never want to give someone reason to doubt your words and if you are every caught not being honest, it will come back to back you in the long run. People will question whatever you say even if you're telling the truth in the future.
Next is to unite. We lived in a divided world in so many ways. There is always things that tear us apart, but you can be someone who brings people together, gets them working together for the common good. It is easier to be a divider, but feels better to be someone who unites.
Believe in and go after your own success. You must believe in yourself and believe that you can achieve what you set out to do.
Go over and see what else you can learn from Mr. Lincoln.
