Laszlo Bock, Gollgle's Vice President of People Operations, testified today before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration about the practical impact that the U.S. immigration system has on Google. You can read Bock's full testimony here [pdf]. Or just watch the video.
He makes some very interesting references to some of America's biggest companies dependence on the innovative abilities of foreign workers.
Which leads me to another question, "Why are so many innovations and technology breakthroughs coming from immigrants?" Is there something in the water, their genes, or a flaw in the educational system?"
