Holiday Season Ideas

One of the ideas is to offer a discount for the holidays which makes a lot of sense. Holiday shoppers are always looking for bargains, and to by offering a set discount will set you apart from the stores that just have certain items on sale.
Another idea I would add to that is that if you have your customer database going, email all your regular customers and offer them an addition discount. You can also offer this discount to shoppers who are willing to sign up for your mailing list.
The second item that they mention is giving a portion of sales to charity. This is a wonderful idea and I am a big supporter of giving back to the community and showing your support.
Volunteering during the season is also a wonderful idea to give back and show your support. A couple of years ago we started volunteering at a homeless shelter with some friends on Christmas day. This allowed us to get to know some of the other Volunteers
all of whom are potential customers. The final idea is to offer free gift wrapping. Many places do this and this will be another opportunity to build customer loyalty. If you are not talented when it comes to doing gift wrapping (I am terrible at it), find someone who does a good job or look to a neighboring business that might do it for you and find something you can do for them.
I hope these few ideas to build customer loyalty come in handy this Holiday Season
