Getting more revenue from your current customers is one of the easiest. This is when good selling techniques come into play. For example say you sell printers and you have a customer buying a basic ink jet printer. Even though almost no printers on the market come with USB cables, you would be amazed the number of sales people who will not ask the customer if they need a cable.
The article also mentions getting your customers informed. First point out that you do not sell their information but you would like to put them on your mailing list in order to let them know when you are having a sale or a special regular customer only special.
