Have you decluttered your business and your home yet?

Several of the Organizational blogs I read are having an August decluttering challenge and although we are pretty far into the month, I decided today would be a good time to get you into decluttering.

First take a look at your office and see what you can get rid off. If you don't need it or you haven't used it in six months, get rid of it. Go through your books, if you have had them for more than a year and have never even turned a page in them do you think you ever will?

How clean is your desk? If I asked you for something would you be able to find it right away?

Now take a good look at your file cabinets. Do you have non-tax papers that were put in there when the first President Bush was in office? It is time to clean out those file cabinets and get rid of those papers you don't need. Of those files you do need, can some of them be turned into electronic data?

Once you start getting your office into shape you will be amazed how much easier your life will be and it will also help reduce some of that stress you have. Once you get through there start working on your home.
