Employee Reviews...

Your not alone, many managers do not like the thought of evaluating an employees performance, but it must be done. Not only a yearly review but quarterly or even monthly reviews are very critical.
Put yourself in your employees' shoes. How do are they to know the quality of the job they are doing if you do not tell them? How would you feel if you only were reviewed once a year if at all? How could you improve yourself if you do not know what things you are doing right and wrong?
Employees want to know what their performance level is. Give them regular and sincere evaluations on their performance. Let them know how much you appreciate them and what they do well. If there is an issue let them know it and tell them how you will help them with their issues.
Take care of those employees as they are your most valuable asset.
