With all the problems being created by Chinese products over the last few months, many more people are looking for locally made products and stores.

From the myventurepad blog is an entry about the Emerging Buy Local Coalition. The author includes several coalitions that focuses on products made in the United States. There are also many coalitions that are designed to promote local retail stores. In Utah there is the Vestpocket Organization and Buy Local First Utah.

One of my local television stations had a story that about a small toy store that focuses on products made in the United States. The store is a big increase in business because it has toys that are considered safe.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to promote the benefits of smaller businesses and why you are a good person to buy from. Take advantage of the opportunity that is presenting itself.
