Having good business relationships is vital to the survival of your business.
You will need to build relationships with others on a daily basis. Even if you are working from home and doing everything online you must have good business relationships in order to grow and acquire more business.
All business has a blog entry that gives you 10 ways to strengthen your business relationships.
One of their suggestions is to treat your vendors like honorary employees. If you have good vendors that help you out, be sure that you are treating them like gold. Be sure that their displays look good and they are impressed when they walk into your store.
Another suggestion is to know everyone birthday's. You want to always get the email addresses and possibly mailing addresses of your good customers. If you have their addresses send them a card, if all you have is an email address send them an e-card. How many cards do you think they get on their birthdays from the companies they do business with? It will be something remembered.
We have already discusses getting to know your customers the best you can to get an idea about why they shop with you. This is part of the relationship process, and the more you build the relationship, the more they will consider you a friend and will not only shop with you they will recommend you to their friends.
Previously we have also talked about the importance of having mentors and advisors. Be sure that you are keeping in contact with them. Make them feel like they are not only a part of you but make them feel like they are part of the business.
There are other suggestions so take a look and improve your relationships.
