Blog instead of a website?

Filed in archive Computers by John Dornoff on June 5, 2008

Should you dump having a website and only do a blog?

Wil Schroter over at the Entrepreneur's Blog suggests that having a blog could be a substitute for having a actual website.

For some businesses this would be a good idea. If you are going to do something like this I would suggest you use one of the better blogging tools such as wordpress or typepad as opposed to blogger to give you a more professional look.

However, for some businesses a blog is not going to work as a primary website. For example a retail store that also has an ecommerce sight needs to have that website so the but still should have the blog to keep customers up to date as I have mentioned before.

Ultimately it comes down to is what your target market is and which will they respond better to.
